As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m using photography to look deeper into what I’m creating in the studio. Because of the images this way of seeing is presenting to me, the artist and the viewer, one of the areas I am exploring is the relationship between the self and the external world. Much might be inferred from these images below, where I photographed a small group of my latest 3d silk forms and inverted the images. Although not the best quality of image, the results are unsettling, as are the times we live in.
